Dialogue with North Korea still possible: Blue House official

South Korea’s presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae says the “door” to peaceful dialogue with North Korea remains open, despite ongoing pressure and sanctions on the regime. A senior Blue House official told reporters on Sunday that, while it’s a difficult situation, re-engaging in talks is still an option to diffuse tensions. The official added that the Moon administration was deliberating over unilateral measures on the regime, including economic sanctions. President Moon has been forced to harden his stance on the North, following its latest ballistic missile launch, ordering the temporary deployment of four additional THAAD launchers.
