Round-up: Today’s top stories in the morning papers in Korea (April 7, 2017)
1. Prosecutors began their second round of investigation on former President Park Geun-hye. Park denied all charges against her, particularly the notebook written by former presidential secretary Ahn Jong-beom.
Park will probably say later that she does not know Ahn Jong-beom. Does everyone have amnesia?
2. Former President Park Geun-hye was involved with the management of companies including POSCO and KT. Hankook Il-bo, one of the leading Korea’s daily newspapers, obtained Ahn Jong-beom’s 39 work-related notebooks and found that Park was deeply involved with large conglomerates.
Park followed Park Chung-hee’s Yusin Constitution during the 70s. Like father, like daughter.
