Round-up: Today’s top stories in the morning papers in Korea (March 30, 2017)
1. Prosecutors said one of the reasons for issuing Park’s arrest warrant was that Park Geun-hye is a flight risk because her acts violated the Constitution. They issued an arrest warrant as Park did not seem to protect the Constitution just as the Constitutional Court of Korea upheld the impeachment motion.
Park’s acts of not protecting the Constitution is not the only reason to arrest her but speaking of the president that ignores the Constitution means.. well, I would rather not talk about it.
2. With the launching of the committee investigating the body of the salvaged Sewol ferry, finding the truth about the sunken ferry begins again since the Sewol Ferry Special Committee’s activities were forcibly stopped. As the eight members of the committee are marine experts, the fact-finding work is expected to gain momentum.
Finding truth is more important than having a specialized team, isn’t it?
