Round-up: Today’s top stories in the morning papers in Korea (March 22, 2017)
1. Korean citizens felt dejected as they expect a sincere apology from former President Park Geun-hye who stood in a photo line. She just said two simple sentences, saying, “I apologize to the nation. I will do my best to cooperate with the investigation.”
What does she apologize for? Does she probably change a toilet in an investigation room?
2. Choi Soon-sil denied all allegation charges against her daughter Chung Yoo-ra who received special treatment from Ewha Women’s University and Cheongdam High School. During the first hearing for questioning her on business obstruction charges, Choi has never colluded with her daughter and has never asked for a favor to the former president of Ehwa University Choi Kyung-hee.
Choi may not have colluded or asked a favor. She has probably ordered and intimidated.
