Round-up: Today’s top stories in the morning papers in Korea (February 9, 2017)
1. Special prosecutors are expected to investigate all allegations including bribery against Choi Soon-sil who plans to appear for the court this morning. They say that they can investigate all allegations if she shows up today.
Cheong Wa Dae denies an investigation. Choi voluntarily appears for the court. Something is not right.
2. The ruling Saenuri Party decided to change their name to ‘Liberal Party of Korea.’ The result was based on opinion poll by approximately 10,000 members of the party and ‘Liberal Party of Korea’ topped the list followed by Happy Party of Korea, First National Party, and Power of Conservative Party.
The abbreviation is ‘liberal party’ then. The liberal regime probably collapsed in 1960?
3. An increasing number of housewives suffer from so-called ‘caffeine depression.’ The caffeine here comes from the first letter of social media including Cacao Story, Facebook, and Instagram. They feel a sense of deprivation when they see other people’s ‘happy moment.’
Too much caffeine is not good for your health. Moreover, most of the online posts are not true.
