Round-up: Today’s top stories in the morning papers in Korea (December 29, 2016)

1. The investigation team led by special prosecutor Park Young-soo raided lawmaker Kim Young-jae, Chaum Clinics, and Seoul National University on medical treatment of influence peddlers. As the team raided the hospitals, they would investigate the case so-called President Park Geun-hye’s missing seven hours when Sewol ferry sank in earnest.

The government should revive the Special Investigation Committee to find the missing seven hours as well as the cause of the sinking until April 16, 2017.

2. The main opposition Minjoo Party Lawmaker Park Young-sun wrote on her Facebook about Choi Soon-sil’s face with no make-up after she met Choi. Park sarcastically commented on her Facebook that Choi had so many wrinkles under her eyes because she was not able to receive weekly dermatoplasty.

Be strong. I may be shocked to see her face.
