Today’s top stories in the morning papers in Korea (December 13, 2016)

Round-up: Today’s top stories in the morning papers in Korea (December 13, 2016)

1. South Korean President Park Geun-hye said “This is unfair.” to the people close to her as her presidential power is suspended as a result of the impeachment motion at the National Assembly. According to TV Chosun, Ms. Park said, “Choi Soon-sil is like my aid, and she ruined the whole nation.”

Speaking of a maid, she must be a princess. Should we call it the “princess-maid scandal”?

2. Acting President Hwang Kyo-hwan decided to retain incumbent Finance Minister Yoo Il-ho. As Hwang has only up to 8 months as an acting president, he intends to maintain the current policy.

Speaking of policy continuity, he has not done anything. Don’t ruin anything. Don’t do anything.
