Round-up: Today’s top stories in the morning papers in Korea (December 9, 2016)
1. South Korean President Park Geun-hye is expected to define her position in a televised address right after impeachment vote in National Assembly. Key officials in Cheong Wa Dae said if the motion is rejected, Park does not voluntarily step down by next April, rather she is expected to withdraw her previous position and refuses to resign.
People say sleep is the best medicine and Park is still dreaming. I hope she awakes from her dream.
2. South Korea’s ‘MBC Special’ received a warning as the TV program said people could successfully lose weight with high protein and low carbo diet.’ Pundits point out that the TV program called ‘Overturning common sense: the myths about fat’ provided examples of people who lose much weight fast but did not pay attention to side effects of such diet.
What the broadcasting company does is always insufficient. Are they going to have responsibility for the fat in my belly after the meat-only diet?
