1. The news of Donald Trump becoming the 45th president of the United States shocked the world. Americans who supported bought a stopwatch, hoping to have a right person for US president in 2020 after four years.

Americans have only four years whereas Koreans have five years to have another president. However, it appears that we have a new president soon.

 

2. Jeong Ho-seong, the former presidential secretary, stated that he recorded the phone conversation with President Park Geun-hye and Choi Soon-sil because he wanted to it for writing a book such as a memoir after Park’s resignation. Jeong added that Choi received the same treatment as Ms. Park.

After all, South Korea bought one president get another president free. As a Korean, we had two difficult presidents when handling one was already too much.
