Round-up: Today’s top stories in the morning papers in Korea (September 19, 2016)
1. The so-called ‘holiday divorce’ in South Korea represents conflicts between married couples before and after holidays. Experts say that people should show consideration and respect to their spouse during family holidays as holidays can be the main cause of dispute for some couples.
We should be careful not to hurt our loved ones.
2. As the ruling Saenuri Party raised questions about the relationship between North Korea’s nuclear test and Gyeongju earthquake on the 12th, the South Korean Meteorological Agency drew that line, saying that there was absolutely no connection between nuclear experiment and seismic activity. Ko Yun-hwa, meteorological chief, denied the link which the ruling party has brought up, saying that experts also stated that no connections exist between North Korea’s nuke issues and earthquake.
