Round-up: Today’s top stories in the morning papers in Korea (April 7, 2016)
1. You probably have seen advertisings of a loan company that offers “one-month interest-free.” The advertisings as if they take credit to themselves are savings banks’ loss leader. It is true that there is no interest rate for one month, but once a person uses a savings bank’s loan, his or her credit score drops, resulting in failure of the loan from major financial institutions.
Nothing is free in this world.
2. Can one’s extreme choice of intentionally taking their life spread to others? The research team in Severance Hospital in Korea conducted a survey of 38,887 people to inquire whether they thought about committing suicide within one year. The respondents who have a family member trying to kill themselves are likely to think about committing suicide by two fold.
Depression is also contagious. People should pay attention to each other and also love one another.
