Today’s top stories in the morning papers in Korea (February 3, 2016)

Round-up: Today’s top stories in the morning papers in Korea (February 3, 2016)

Ministry of Foreign Affairs turned down the argument that demanded to call off the Korea-Japan agreement over wartime sex slaves by saying that the agreement is very valuable. In addition, the minstry also asked Japan to sincerely fufill the agreement.

How valuable is it to ask Japan to sincerely fulfill the agreement? That’s nonsense!

Kim Jong-In, the interim leader of Emergency Planning Commission in Minjoo Party, who sent orchids to celebrate President Park Geun-hye’s 64th birthday on the 2nd of this month was finally delivered to the president after three rejections.

She was happy to brag about the gifts from her Chinese fans. If I were him, I will send the flowers only she apologizes three times.

A young Afghan boy who became popular with wearing a makeshift Lionel Messi jersey made of plastic was able to finally meet Messi. The Barcelona star expressed an interest in meeting the boy through the Afghan Football Federation.

Dreams come true. I hope children around the world turn their dreams into reality.

A statistics was discovered which revealed the number of Koreans who worked in and ran away from the coal mines in 1944 during the period of Japanese colonialism. The data proved that Korean conscripts were forced to work in harsh, brutal conditions.

I am pretty sure that they will probably argue that Koreans voluntarily worked in the coal mines to make money. Is this another valuable agreement?

‘Parents’ wealth’ is considered to be the most important factor in order to succeed in Korea, followed by personal networks, interpersonal relationship, individual capability, and educational background.

The key to success is to be born with a golden spoon in his/her mouth. That’s pretty sad.

A study found that junior high school students who negatively view their parents’ disciplinary methods are more likely to rely on smartphones and less likely to engage in self-study. This means the more parents expect and interfere, the more students depend on mobile phones. As a result, too much expectation on children is the main reason why they turn their eyes to cellphones.

I wonder how I was as a junior high school student. Parents should learn to let of their children.
